The Globe consists of many super powers, which in previous time was divided into two super blocks US and USSR . USSR was further divided and the country that emerged out of it was Russia . At the time of Second World War, India was not in favor of any block . This helped India to establish healthy relationship with of both these countries.
As the US is one of the leading country of the present time, good relations and trade dealing with them will ultimately affect the economy of the nation and simultaneously Russia has been a part of these deals with India from a very long time and has a very strong relationship. Previously US had cut off many deals with India due to this reason but in recent times with growing sense of world's economy, every country is changing their thinking for the trade.
Recently the US has no problem on India's relation with any other country, rather they acknowledge India's unilateral behavior with every other nation. This question arose when there was a visit of President of Russia, Late Mr. Putin and the President of US, Mr Barak Obama at the same time in India. But there was no impact of these two simultaneous events.
However, if it's only about economy and trade deals, India didn't supported Russia's actions or their inventions.
